Corex is located in Campo Grande, state of Mato Grosso do Sul, in the heart of the Brazilian agribusiness.

» In 2007 Mato Grosso do Sul exported the equivalent of U.S. $ 1194 billion.

» Mato Grosso do Sul is the state where agribusiness is very important for the Brazilian economy:77.2% of GDP.

» 7000 companies are linked to agribusiness in the state, creating 100,000 jobs and a GDP of $ 15.47 billion reais.

» The state has the second largest cattle herd in the country with 23.7 million heads and is the third largest producer of beef, after Sao Paulo and Mato Grosso states.

» It is also an important center for grain and cotton producer. It is the fifth largest producer of soybeans in the country.

» The cultivation of sugar cane is also entering rapidly in the state due to the availability of land, the proximity to Sao Paulo and appropriated climate. Currently there are 31 projects in sugar and alcohol plants to be developed in Mato Grosso do Sul.

» The installation of a steel mill in Corumbá, that will explore one of the largest deposits of iron in the continent (the mass of Urucum) and an important industry of  paper and  wood pulp in Três Lagoas; eucalyptus is also a new source of agribusiness in  Mato Grosso do Sul.
